International Entrepreneurship and Venturing
Date: June 7 to July 2, 2010
Academic Content:
The four-week long course is divided into lectures, seminars and workshops given by experienced professors, researchers and lecturers in the field of entrepreneurship.The program will also include a company visit where the students will be able to learn about the industries in the region of Jönköping and a visit to the Science Park's business incubator and lab, which offers a flexible and creative infra-structure for knowledge-intensive companies in various phases and with varying needs.
International Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Date: June 7 to July 2, 2010

The course aims to provide the students with knowledge about the complex and dynamic nature of international logistics and supply chain management and to prepare the student with the skills needed in an international environment with increasing demands on efficiency and effectiveness in this area of studies. The course focuses on the role of management and how international logistics and supply chain management can function as a source of competitive advantage. In addition, the course will provide students with knowledge about the use and impact of e-commerce in logistics and supply chain management.
An International Approach to Interpreting and Using Financial Reports Under IFRS
Date: July 5 to 30, 2010-01-25
Academic Content:
The course aims to introduce students to financial reporting using International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) that focus on reading, interpreting, analysing and using financial reports without procedural details on preparing such reports. It can also be used as an introductory course for students wanting to pursue an accounting career as a preparation for follow-up courses that focus on procedures and techniques.
Social and Cultural Content:
You will be able to discover Sweden and the region of Småland as part of the social and cultural events included in the programme. You will visit Vadstena Castle, one of Sweden’s best preserved castles from the Gustav Vasa period in the 16th century. You will also visit Gränna which is a small town outside of Jönköping where the popular peppermint candy canes are handmade. The programme will also include a welcome lunch, two evening activities, and other social activities.
