Research
Karin’s research interest is entrepreneurial teams and knowledge intensive entrepreneurship. In her thesis work she tracks and follows team start-ups within knowledge intensive industries. Special interest lies on the composition of the teams and how it changes over time.
Biography
Karin Hellerstedt was enrolled in the Doctoral program at JIBS in September 2002. She was previously a student at JIBS and received her Master of Science with a major in Business Administration in the spring of 2002. Both her bachelor and master theses had a focus on business start-ups. She has been involved several research projects focusing on academic entrepreneurship, rural entrepreneurship and knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship. These projects have resulted in research reports.
Teaching
Karin has conducted teaching primarily at the undergraduate level within the courses: Entrepreneurship and Business Planning, Summer Program in International Entrepreneurship and Venturing, Research Methods, Bachelor Thesis supervision and New Venture Development. She has also been the project coordinator for the development of a master program in Entrepreneurial Management.
