Jönköping University students founded 83 firms in 2009 with support from the Business Lab in Science Park Jönköping, up 66 per cent from the 50 started in 2008.

Of the 83 firms, 39 were founded by students at JIBS and 36 by students at the School of Engineering. 11 of the firms were founded by international students.
