Bachelor Programmes in English

Note: Students with a citizenship or premanent residence in the Nordic, EU and EEA countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or USA can apply until April 15, 2010. If you finish your high school degree during the spring 2010 the diploma can be sent until July 2, 2010.

Only for students living outside Sweden! Swedish students must apply according to the information on the Swedish website.

 

Welcome to the site of JIBS bachelor programmes starting in August 2010.

JIBS offers three bachelor programmes in English that are open to international students living outside Sweden:
Business and IT Management
International Economics and Policy
International Management

The International Economics and Policy programme will have three tracks. For more information, see programme page.

All programmes are conducted entirely in English.

Admission to these undergraduate business programmes entitles you to study abroad for at least one semester at one of JIBS’s 200 partner universities situated on all six continents. Much of the teaching at JIBS is done in groups following the problem-based learning method, and access to one of JIBS’s regional host companies as well as international internships are also available.

Application

ONLY for applicants with a citizenship or permanent residence in an EU/ EEA country, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zeeland:
The application must be sent in by April 15, 2010.
Deadline for submitting documents: July 2, 2010

Student from all other countries:
The application must be sent in by January 15, 2010.
Transcripts and high school diploma can be sent until February 1, 2010.
TOEFL/IELTS test result can be sent until March 1, 2010

Requirements
In order to apply for studies at JIBS, you need to have a high school diploma that gives you access to studies at an internationally recognized university in your home country.

Required documents:

- Certified copies of High School diploma and transcripts
- English proficiency: Go to Language Requirements
- Passport copy
- For applicants with permanent residence in a Nordic or EU/EES country a copy of the permanent residence permit.

The documents must be issued in the original language and in officially certified translations in Swedish or English, if the documents are not originally in one of these two languages. All documents and copies must be certified by a notary public. Jönköping University may check the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

* It is recommended that one starts the procedure of writing the TOEFL/IELTS tests as soon as possible, since this may be long to carry out depending on when the test centres offer opportunities to write.

Financing
Students must finance expenses themselves such as housing, living costs, books etc., 7000 SEK or approx 700 € per month are required. JIBS do not dispose of scholarships, grants or other subsidies. There are no Swedish governmental scholarships for bachelor students.

Residence permits for visiting students
It is important to visit the website of the Swedish Migration Board (www.migrationsverket.se) before entering Sweden. Conditions are different depending on whether your are an EU/EEA citizen or not. Please, notice that JIBS can not answer any questions about visas, residence permits etc.
